Summary

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and administration of local and global policies and programs for staffing, employee relations, compensation, and benefits, employee development and training, organizational development, and regulatory compliance to meet the business strategies and customer requirements of The Woodlands, Texas facility within the framework of Cellipont’s overall corporate philosophy and policies, external laws and regulations

The Role

  • Develops and directs the establishment and maintenance of policies, procedures, plans, and programs dealing with the specific activities of employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee development and training, organizational development, HR information systems to meet the site’s business plan and competitive strategy in a cost-effective manner
  • Ensures alignment of such policies, procedures, plans, programs, and budgets with those of Cellipont Bioservices
  • Partners with TA leadership on creating or improving onboarding orientation processes
  • Partners with Business Unit Site-based leadership in the organization’s strategic planning efforts, providing insight on vital HR concerns and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Provides counsel to managers and employees on human resources issues, organization structure, and development
  • Establishes and maintains an effective and credible relationship with both management and employees; works closely with line management to provide support, planning and problem-solving
  • Develops, implements, and administers an effective performance management system aimed at improving employee and organizational productivity
  • Develop training and development plans while focusing on building the critical skills and competencies required to handle present and future jobs more effectively
  • Participates and supports the site Talent Management Program
  • In partnership with Cellipont’s compensation, implement and administer fair and equitable reward systems that meet the strategic and competitive demands of the business
  • Creates and analyzes metrics that reflect the health and status of the site from an HR perspective
  • Develops and implements plans to introduce and manage cultural change within the organization to improve organizational effectiveness; ensures that organizational strategies, structure, and processes are consistent with evolving business needs
  • Assures compliance with laws and regulations related to employees and their relationship with their employer. Completes appropriate agency (EEOC, DOL, WCI, AAP) audits
  • Prepare and maintain business unit affirmative action plans

The Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Business Management, or equivalent) is required
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification a plus
  • Minimum 7 years of broad and progressive experience in human resources required
  • 3 years minimum experience in supervisory or management roles
  • Experience in a CDMO, Biotech, Pharmaceutical or related technical industry preferred
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment (multiple scheduling variations) is highly desirable
