Magnolia Tejas to Houston!
Magnolia Tejas Corporation is co-founded by Accelerator Life Science Partners and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and is developing a new class of neuroprotective medicines. Magnolia received a $20 million grant from CPRIT after a $31 million Series A financing with investors including AbbVie Ventures, Alexandria Venture Investments, ARCH Venture Partners, Eli Lilly and Company, Innovate NY Fund, Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JJDC, Inc., the Partnership Fund for New York City, Pfizer Ventures, Watson Fund, L.P., WuXi AppTec’s Corporate Venture Fund and 180 Degree Capital Corp. This is also Magnolia President David Schubert’s return to the Houston ecosystem.
David Schubert will give an update on Magnolia’s progress, provide insight on the impact the CPRIT award has had on his company, and why coming back to Texas was the right choice. CPRIT Management will also be giving an update as we head into the November 5th election. And of course, come for breakfast and great networking!
