Job Description and Responsibilities
This position will work closely with the Associate Director of Research and Development and
other members of the department towards the development and characterization of
immunotherapy drug products such as monoclonal antibodies and small molecules. The primary
focus of this role is to design and independently perform experiments aimed at elucidating
mechanisms of action of immune targeting therapies in hot and cold tumors.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine scientific research tasks requiring the application of standard
techniques including cell culture, multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, and other in vitro
assays - Designs experiments, analyzes data, writes reports, and effectively communicates results
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes
continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. - Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology,
equipment, and/or systems. - Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/ Education / Previous Experience Required:
Area of Specialization: Immunology, cell biology, or other relevant field
Preferred Level of Education: Ph.D.
Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required:
- Deep and broad experience in designing and independently performing complex experiments
- Experience with designing, running, and analyzing multi-color flow cytometry panels
- Ability to analyze data and concisely communicate results
- Sound and timely decision-making and problem solving in high impact situations.
Other job-related skills/background:
- Self-starter, able to lead and implement projects overcoming obstacles
- Superior problem-solving skills, including the diagnosis of complex technical issues and development of practical solutions.
