The mission of Neurogene is to treat devastating neurological diseases to improve the lives of patients and families impacted by these rare diseases. Neurogene is developing novel approaches and treatments to address the limitations of conventional gene therapy in central nervous system disorders. This includes selecting a delivery approach to maximize distribution to target tissues and designing products to maximize potency and purity for an optimized efficacy and safety profile. The Company’s novel and proprietary EXACT transgene regulation platform technology allows for the delivery of therapeutic levels while limiting transgene toxicity associated with conventional gene therapy. Neurogene has constructed a state-of-the-art gene therapy manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. CGMP production of NGN-401 was conducted in this facility and will support pivotal clinical development activities. Position Overview
The role of the Supply Chain Associate position will be general shipping, receiving, stocking, handling, and distribution of materials, purchasing and planning at Neurogene. This position will help maintain an uninterrupted supply of raw materials by ensuring the warehouse and other storage locations are kept in an organized and accurate state of control.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Facility shipping, receiving, stocking and associated administrative tasks
- Completion of warehouse transactions using inventory control software application
- Periodic inventory of warehouse stock
- Support manufacturing with kitting and distribution of materials
- Communicate with vendors, requesting quotes, and sending purchase orders
- Write and review SOPs and change control documents for supply chain work areas
- Ensure proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements
- Participate in facility safety programs
- Training team members on the department SOPs
- May be asked to perform various “housekeeping” activities such as keeping work areas and equipment clean, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years warehousing or related supply chain experience
- Experience in GMP environment a plus
- Forklift license a plus
- Working knowledge of basic inventory control methods
- ERP knowledge (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365 etc.) a plus
- Able to perform procedures according to written guidelines
- Able to develop or revise procedures when required
- Good basic computer skills
- Interact effectively with staff members from multiple levels and departments
- Ability to lift 50lbs, assisted.
- Project management skill a plus
- Continuous strong focus on meeting or exceeding expectations in executing deliverables, performance and results.
- Ability to track and measure performance against defined metrics.
- Self-starter with high degree of energy, independence, initiative, and self-motivation, as illustrated by the ability to instill a sense of pace and urgency into the team.
