Financial Analyst – Salarius Pharmaceuticals

Role and Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Managerial Accounting

  • Develops, updates and maintains an integrated multi-year budgeting and forecasting model
  • On a monthly/quarterly bases, works closely with cross functional personnel to reconcile actual spending against budget/forecast and update forecasted drug development expenses
  • Prepares financial forecasts including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports on required periodic bases.
  • Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
  • On a regular basis, prepares financial presentation materials for senior management and communicates to Senior Management on actual versus forecasted performance
  • Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.

Business Development

  • Supports business development including in licensing, merger and acquisition opportunities
  • Develops revenue and expense models to support NPV analysis

Financial Operations

  • Performs basic Treasury functions
  • Ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.
  • Manages accounting, allocation and granting of common stock, warrants, stock options and other securities as appropriate
  • Compiles and analyzes company financial information for CFO directed at current and potential investors.
  • Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
  • Performs other financial, accounting and related tasks and assignments as required.
  • Compiles and analyzes company financial information for CFO directed at current and potential investors.

Public Reporting and SEC filings

  • Assists with preparation of 10Q, 10k, 8k and other filings as appropriate
  • Assists in creation of annual Proxy statement


  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance. MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in financial analysis and senior accounting role or 2-3 years’ experience plus an MBA.  Analytical skills a must
  • Intimately familiar with financial and accounting analyses, practices, procedures and NPV.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to build ongoing collaborative relationships across functions
  • Ability to create clear, concise, direct and summarized communications in word and in PowerPoint for use at BOD and C-suite level. 

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
