			<title>KCI ends 2009 with growth in sales, net income</title>

For the fourth quarter, the company&amp;#8217;s revenues rose 7 percent.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;San Antonio-based KCI (NYSE: KCI) reported net income of $66.3 million, or 93 cents per diluted share, on revenues of $526.8 million for the fourth quarter of 2009. This compares to net income of $49.4 million, or 70 cents per diluted share, on revenues of $492.4 million for the fourth quarter of 2008.&lt;/p&gt;For the full year, KCI reported net income of $228.7 million, or $3.24 per diluted share, on revenues of $1.993 billion. This compares to net income of $166.4 million, or $2.32 per diluted share, on revenues of $1.877 billion for 2008.  &lt;p&gt;KCI is a global medical technology company that manufactures and markets products for the wound care, tissue regeneration and therapeutic-support systems markets.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;KCI President and CEO Catherine Burzik says the company faced a challenging 2009 with resilience for the quarter and the year.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#8220;For 2010, we look forward to several new product launches, the launch of V.A.C. Therapy in Japan, continued expansion of our LifeCell business domestically and in Europe, and stabilization of our (Therapeutic Support Systems) business,&amp;#8221; she says.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Global revenue from the company&amp;#8217;s Active Healing Solutions product line &amp;#8212; which encompasses KCI&amp;#8217;s flagship V.A.C. Therapy wound-healing product &amp;#8212; rose 6 percent for the quarter to $367.2 million, and 1 percent, to $1.4 billion, for the full year.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Total revenue from the company&amp;#8217;s regenerative medicine division was $76.9 million and $285.9 million for the fourth quarter and full year, up 13 percent and 18 percent, respectively.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Revenue from KCI&amp;#8217;s Therapeutic Support Systems division &amp;#8212; which includes specialty hospital beds and related overlays &amp;#8212; was $82.7 million for the fourth quarter and $300.2 million for the full year.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/div&gt;</description>
