BioHouston has partnered with UT Health for the expansion of wet laboratory facilities available to life science companies. The Biotechnology Commercialization Center (BCC), which is located at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), is available for the incubation of startup companies. The mission of the center is to help facilitate the next breakthrough in the diagnosis or treatment of disease by providing office, laboratory and conference space, as well as access to UTHealth equipment and core analytical facilities. BioHouston’s science laboratory equipment has been relocated to the BCC. The BCC’s proximity to other institutions in the Texas Medical Center provides valuable access to information, collaboration and expertise.
